Venom Speedsculpt

Yet another bodybuilder body type character... the purpose of this is just to keep fresh on sculpting, not to do any sort of finished character or anything. I'm doing a bunch of speedsculpts just for practice.

did everything this afternoon...

I still need to work A LOT on arms and the lower legs and then work a bit more on details. There's no texture, the two colours is the result of masking parts and using a grey matcap.

skin shader quick test

some MR skin shader test I did with an old sculpt,

the texture is not used the way it is supposed to be used (2tex; one for epidermal and one for subdermal) this one is used on top of both as "overall diffuse" but it was just for testing purposes.

there is not any map for the specular thing as you can see, so there's specular everywhere.. :P like I said, its just a quick TEST.

btw, I think that this is the first thing that I render with other renderer than VRay... :S

Hulk Speedsculpt

Seems like a modeler/modeller-wannabe portfolio is worth anything without a HULK sculpt so... here's my approach...

Just kidding, the whole sculpt was done in one afternoon and the next morning, I didn't entered into much detail since I think that there's no challenge in using just a bunch alphas to detail stuff... didn't "broke" the simmetry either...

I'm not any comic-fan (its not that I don't like them, its just that I don't use to read them) so I didn't followed any comic version and I haven't seen yet any of the Hulk films so I didn't followed any of these either, I just took the main features (big, green, broken pants) of Hulk and sculpted my own version, it is more realistic than cartoony, but it still keeps a bit of that cartoony style that I like... I hope you like it.

BTW, I recorded the whole timelapse and I'm trying to export it as a video but I'm having some problems, I will make it available as soon as I export it.

Sculpted starting from a box in mudbox, then I retopologised it and continued working his burned face and wrinkles. I still need to work a lot more on specific wrinkles but right now at least can be showed as something almost-finished.

IT'S STILL A WIP, same workflow as always, starting from a cube in Mudbox till I have something interesting, then retopo and some subtle minor tweaks, when I end up with this part, I will start with pores and wrinkles.

Hair is just a sphere a bit deformed, I will retopologize and continue working on it later.
